Vangelis Marinakis

Chief Operating Officer - Island Oil

Marinakis holds a BSc degree in Economics and an MSc in Maritime Economics. He has served in various managerial positions in dry bulk ship-management companies for more than 15 years. Since 2021 he has been acting as COO of Island Oil Ltd, an international marine fuel trading firm of more than 30 years, contributing to the opening of 5 additional trading offices and to the increase in sales of marine fuel by more than 70%. Vangelis is member of the Board of Directors the Piraeus Marine Club and a Hellenic Chamber of Shipping arbitrator.
