Silke Lehmköster is Managing Director Fleet at Hapag-Lloyd, overseeing Fleet Management, Fleet Technology & Newbuilding, Fleet Analytics, and Charter Fleet Management. She focuses on maintaining high operational standards while driving the decarbonisation of the fleet in line with Hapag-Lloyd’s climate-neutral target for 2045.

Her maritime career began in 2005 as a deck cadet and progressed through roles as watch officer, chief officer, and master. As one of Hapag-Lloyd’s first female captains, she later moved ashore in 2020, taking on leadership roles in Marine Human Resources and Fleet Management, where she has driven innovative vessel projects and technological transformation.
