Ourania Papagianni

Head of Digital Transformation – Goldenport Group

Ourania Papagianni is Head of Digital Transformation at Goldenport Group, where she leads the digital agenda horizontally across the Group’s shipping companies — Goldenport Shipmanagement and Oceangold Tankers. Her remit sits at the point where technology meets the people actually expected to use it: from fleet operations and enterprise systems to how new technology is evaluated, adopted, and ultimately made to work in practice.

She comes to the owner’s side from maritime software. Over six years at Harbor Lab she grew from Analyst to Head of Customer Onboarding, and had the rare privilege of watching an idea become technology now used across the shipping market — leading enterprise implementations and ERP/VMS integrations (IMOS, Q88, Danaos, SAP) for some of the world’s largest ship-owning groups, across London, Hamburg, Singapore and Mumbai. A statistician by training, she has therefore sat on both sides of the table: building the technology, and now deciding where it earns its place. She speaks regularly on digital transformation and digital maturity, and the culture that has to carry both — most recently at the 12th Ship IT Conference.
