Mr. Chanos currently serves as the Crew Manager at Seaven Tanker & Dry Management, a Greek company that manages chemical tankers and cement carriers under the Greek flag. Concurrently, he fulfills the role of HR Director and offers HR consultancy services to Seawind Ocean Technology, a manufacturing firm based in Amsterdam, specializing in integrated floating wind turbines and green hydrogen systems. With over 22 years of experience in the maritime sector, Mr. Chanos started his career as a boarding officer at one of Greece’s largest ship agency companies. He then transitioned to serve as a dedicated Crew Changes Coordinator for Royal Caribbean Cruises for a decade. In 2014, he assumed the position of the Offshore Workforce Supervisor at Ocean Rig, a Nasdaq-listed company managing a fleet of oil rigs and drill ships. In this capacity, he was entrusted with overseeing crew scheduling, talent management, and succession planning for the entire company’s offshore workforce.
