Michael Agapiou

Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in Hamburg

Michael originates from the Shipping Deputy Ministry of the Republic of Cyprus, where he worked as a Marine Surveyor in various positions within the Cypriot Maritime administration. Shipping is one of his main duties at his present post.  

Michael graduated from National Technical University of Athens, where he studied Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Following his graduation, he had the opportunity to work as superintendent at the Technical Department of a traditional shipping company in Greece, managing mainly Tankers, where he had the opportunity to gain insights on daily operational aspects and challenges faced by shipping companies.
