Maria Athanasiou is a Cyprus-based Lawyer and Founder of Athanasiou & Associates LLC, as well as Founder of MASO Strategic, an international consultancy firm. She specializes in Maritime Law and the Law of the Sea, with extensive experience in corporate, commercial, and shipping matters.

She is also a Lecturer in Law and an active researcher, currently pursuing a PhD in the Law of the sea. Her work includes contributions to international publications and research on maritime affairs and energy security.

Combining legal expertise with strategic advisory, she provides comprehensive, cross-border solutions to businesses and organizations operating in complex international environments.
