John is an ILM Masters Executive, Leadership and Performance Coach, and Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, who as the founder of the The Captain’s Coach® blends experience, insight and specialist expertise to support the development, sustainability and wellbeing of Captains, senior Seafarers and executives alike.

Commended for his leadership by both British and Canadian Forces, he is a graduate of Maritime Studies and a former Royal Navy Officer whose experience spans the Direction of Professional Training, Military Command and Vessel Captaincy.
