Douwe van der Meulen is a Policy Advisor at European Shipowners | ECSA on Social Affairs and Maritime Security. He holds a master’s degree in International Security and works on European maritime policy, labour affairs, and security issues related to shipping.

Before joining European Shipowners | ECSA, he worked for the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners and an international ferry operator, gaining experience in both maritime policy and the shipping industry itself.
