
Dimitris Kouzapas
General Manager - Cyprus Shipping Association
Dimitris Kouzapas is the General Manager of the Cyprus Shipping Association and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. With an academic background in Accounting, Banking and Finance, he brings a solid foundation in international trade, corporate debt restructuring, and financial management from his earlier career in the banking sector and private enterprise.
At the helm of the Cyprus Shipping Association, he represents and promotes the interests of ship agents and their principals—including major liner operators, tramp owners, and charterers—serving Cyprus’ ports and terminals. Dimitris works closely with government authorities, port operators, and industry stakeholders to enhance port competitiveness, ensure operational efficiency, and reinforce Cyprus’ role as a maritime hub and transshipment gateway in the Eastern Mediterranean.
He is actively engaged in European and international policy discussions on port logistics, digitalization, sustainability, and energy transition, positioning the Association as a key stakeholder in shaping the future of Cyprus’ shipping industry.
