Despina Tsouma

Head of Legal Services, Diotima Centre

Despina Tsouma, Head of Legal Services and member of the Governing Committee at Diotima Centre, is a lawyer with long-standing professional experience in the fields of gender equality, communication, and social inclusion.

Since 2000, she has been collaborating as an expert with the Centre for Research on Women’s Issues “Diotima” in a wide range of national and European programmes (DAPHNE, Equal, EEA Grants), focusing on:

• the design and implementation of programmes for the prevention and response to gender-based violence
• communication, public outreach, and event organization
• the development of intervention tools and the training of professionals (lawyers, police officers, social workers)

In parallel, she works as an independent lawyer specializing in intellectual property law and as a communication consultant in the cultural sector. Her professional path combines legal expertise, communication experience, and a strong commitment to promoting equality and human rights.
