HSQE & Sustainability Manager - Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd.
Dimitris Lemesianos is a Naval Architect, graduating with honors from the University of Newcastle, UK. He currently serves as the Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental (HSQE), and Sustainability Manager at Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd. In this role, Dimitris ensures the implementation and continual improvement of the Group’s Management System, leads the development of the Group’s Sustainability Report, and supports strategic decision-making through comprehensive sustainability analysis. Before joining Island Oil, Dimitris gained extensive experience as a Ship Surveyor, Safety and Security Auditor and Maritime Labour Inspector as well as expertise in the verification of greenhouse gas emissions. Dimitris has also participated in meetings with the International Maritime Organization (IMO)’s MEPC and working groups as well as the European Sustainable Shipping Forum (ESSF-EU) on regulations such as the EU MRV. In addition to his professional roles, Dimitris has academic experience as an external lecturer. He is actively involved in various industry committees, further contributing to the maritime field.
