Managing Director – Kilo

After a wide ranging 22-year operational career in the Royal Navy, Andy Parkin transitioned into the commercial world in 2007, driven by a passion for people, technology, and the maritime domain.
Since then, he has held senior leadership roles across digital, film, and immersive technology sectors — where his rare blend of strategic insight, creative innovation, and commercial acumen consistently delivers exceptional results. Guided by an “Audience First” philosophy, Andy ensures every project under his leadership balances innovation, quality, and business value.
During his tenure as Programme Manager, Andy led the development of the Royal Navy’s first fully immersive 3D training environment for nuclear submariners — a groundbreaking project that redefined training efficiency. The system delivered over a 50% reduction in training time, closing the gap between performance standards and operational readiness, and ultimately leading to further commissions with the Queen Elizabeth (QE) Aircraft Carrier Alliance.
To date, Andy has overseen more than 200 digital training projects for clients spanning Defence, Cruise, Superyacht, and Maritime Education sectors.
In 2020, he founded Kilo, uniting his maritime heritage with deep experience in digital innovation. Under his leadership, Kilo is pioneering next-generation maritime simulators, harnessing cutting-edge immersive technologies to redefine how the maritime industry trains, learns, and operates.
