Amalia Marcou

Crew Director - ENESEL Group

Amalia Marcou, born in Limassol, Cyprus, holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden in Germany and an MBA from Middlesex University in London. 

With 20 years of proven experience in management positions within the ship management sector, Amalia has been a member of the Human Element Committee of Intertanko since November 2015. 

She previously served as Fleet Personnel Manager at Bernhard Schulte Ship Management, where she played a key role in establishing and developing the Greek office. Since 2014, Amalia has been with the Enesel Group of Companies, starting as a Crew Manager at Enesel SA in Athens. She relocated to Limassol in June 2015, where she worked as Crew/HR Manager at Enesel Limited and in January 2023, she became the Crew Director for Enesel Group in Athens. 

Amalia has overall control and responsibility for the Crew department within the shipping company. Her primary duties include selecting and recruiting qualified professionals for the office and various vessel types, ensuring compliance with international rules and regulations, and facilitating effective communication with other departments and external parties. She thrives in a complex and dynamic business environment, demonstrating the ability to find solutions and tackle daily challenges effectively.
