Joe Apa

Joe Apa qualified as a Radio Officer, with the Merchant Navy, from Wray Castle College of Marine Electronics and Communications Engineering in the Lake District, UK. And has since gained over 30 years’ experience in the Satellite communications industry, including Senior positions at, SpeedCast, Inmarsat and Stratos. Working both in the Direct and Indirect market and establishing strong Customer and Channel Partner relationships. While at Inmarsat he held the position of Vice President of Maritime Sales and contributed to a successful period of year-on-year growth in the region. Prior to that some Joe had 15 successful years at Stratos from the early days as a start-up, covering roles in Enterprise, Government and ultimately as Vice President of the Global Maritime Business.

Joe is now part of the exciting Rivada Space Networks, that plan to launch 600 Leo Satellites using Inter Laser Optical Links through a gatewayless network. Providing the Maritime industry with a true game changer of very high b/w coupled with Super Low Latency. Whilst establishing a B2B and B2G business model.
